Any horror countdown isn’t complete without some mention of an early Peter Jackson movie. In this case it’s Dead Alive (or Braindead depending on where in the world you are) and its Cabbage Patch Kid (or should that be Garbage Pail?) style zombie baby, Selwyn. Hilariously realised via small-man in suit or lifeless doll, Selwyn is commonly regarded as cinema’s first ever Zombie Baby. If he isn’t I’m unawre of an earlier example of the toddling dead (note to self, idea for movie, The Toddling Dead starring Warwick Davis and Kenny Baker). All Selwyn wants to do, bless his little rotten socks, is eat children and punch people in the face. So sweet. Please rise for the first baby of zombie horror. There are some glorious puns in that paragraph.
