  1. Hi there, just been flicking through some movies that, indeed, I have never heard of, and have had a good laugh.

I just wanted to share that in my local HMV store on the movie floor there are several dvds in yellow cases. These yellow cases all contain movies that are a strange concoction of bad horror plots, ketchup-like effects and large portions of porn.

Every time we go in for a laugh to see if any have shifted (which they never have) and one film in particular is memorable for me…

It is called ”Torso” with the tasteful tag line of ‘When Whores Meet Saws” – and that lays the plot on a platter. The movie stills on the back cover range from nude scenes, to ketchup smothered ”actresses”. Oh that stuff does make me chuckle!

      Hi thisismynoise

The range of yellow dvd case is probably a bunch of Giuliano movies. These are essentially Italian movies, some set in Italy, some in the US with Italian actors dubbed into English. Some of them have the most amazing titles. And yes you are spot on, they are a mix of fairly explicit violence (lots of bright red violence) and porn! Giuliano movies are always worth a watch if you get the chance.

  2. Hi there. This is James Gilks (owner of SerialKillerCalendar.com and MadHatterDesign.net). I recently started a new blog site called “VHS WASTELAND.” Right now I am trying to improve the sites search engine ranking by swapping links with other websites. Would you be interested in a banner swap? It would help both our site’s search engine rankings and I would be happy to design you a banner if you do not already have one.

You can take a look at the site at http://serialkillercalendar.com/VHSWASTELAND

Thanks. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hudson Horror Show IV (Festival trailer):

Hudson Horror Show is announcing the addition of a 6th Bonus Mystery Movie to our December to Dismember event! Hudson Horror Show IV: The December to Dismember will be on December 3rd, 2011 at Silver Cinemas South Hills 8 in Poughkeepsie, NY.Our lineup features a double headlining shock show of Tobe Hooper’s original masterpiece THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE plus the banned from movie theaters Christmas classic SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT.

We’ll also have the rarely seen revenge flick ROLLING THUNDER alongside Lucio Fulci’s zombie haunted house opus, THE BEYOND. We needed something spicy to add to our mix so we present a little Spanish horror with Paul Nachy’s ultimate grudge match WEREWOLF vs. VAMPIRE WOMAN.

Now on top of the usual trailers and assorted madness we are including a 6th MYSTERY BONUS MOVIE! Could it be an eighties slasher movie? How about some giant monsters? An Italian giallo? Anything is possible; you will want to be at the show to find out! This bonus movie is a thank you to all our loyal patrons for supporting Hudson Horror Show for the past two years.

Tickets are on sale now and going fast. Get your tickets now!

Advance tickets are only $26.00 for six movies! If tickets remain, we’ll have them at the door the day of the show for $30.00, cash only.

You’ll definitely want to bring extra cash as we’ll have vendors at the show selling horror movie related DVD’s, t-shirts, posters, toys and much more. If you have any questions, or are interested in being a vendor, shoot us an email at info@hudsonhorror.com.

The doors will open at noon on December 3rd and we’ll somehow shoehorn six great movies, along with vintage drive in style trailers, all off 35mm film. Watch our website http://www.hudsonhorror.com for exact show times and more info in the coming weeks.
